QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Test who is passionate and ready to tackle some of the most meaningful problems in the loan servicing industry. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our product, development, and QA teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. You will analyze, document, and provide feedback on identified defects and performance issues.  Your contributions will directly impact our products' success and our clients' satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, flexible, willing to learn, and willing to participate. The candidate should be open to learning any scripting language/tools that are required to enable them to have thorough testing of the application under test. The person would have a mindset to reduce the effort for anything that comes their way with the help of tools to enhance productivity as well as to ensure high-quality software products.  The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills.

Your primary focus

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design test plans and test cases.
  • Develop, document, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks using industry-standard tools and languages.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects and performance issues.
  • Report, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testability.
  • Continuously research and adopt new testing tools and methodologies to enhance test automation practices.
  • Contribute to the development of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly configured.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years as an SDET or similar role in software quality assurance.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Javascript.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with Serverless backend or Server-based APIs
  • Proficiency in working with databases and SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., BitBucket, Git).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
